- grok 4.5 was planned to follow late may at 1.5t
- v9-medium is 1.5t – it's the only model on the timeline with that count, it lines up
grok 4.4 might be skipped entirely – it never shipped in early may as planned, and releasing a placeholder now while v9-medium is 2-3 weeks from dropping would just kill their own hype
Grok foundation model V9-Medium (1.5T) has finished training. Evals look good. A lot of Cursor data was added in supplementary training and there is more to come.
